About Šuka
Born and raised in Germany, Šuka began his early training in martial arts and music before discovering breakdancing at the age of 12. After earning a degree in Dance from Codarts University in Rotterdam, Šuka relocated to Athens in 2020 to join Dimitris Papaioannou in two creations: Transverse Orientation and INK — a duet performed alongside Papaioannou.
While touring the world with these shows for over four years, Šuka also delved deep into the world of meditation through an ongoing mentoring process as a private student of Mushtaq Ali al Ansari. He also studied privately with Frey Faust to deepen his knowledge of the human body and movement training.
This interest in holistic transformative practice led to Šuka’s decision to leave the performing arts world behind, and focus solely on researching and teaching. His workshops, classes, and retreats have been held in universities, dance companies, and festivals, across more than 20 countries.
